[edit] Scenario 1
Service Procurement Scenario - NEXOF-RA - BT - doc
Describes a service procurement scenario, in which a potential consumer can query a search engine for services corresponding to his needs. The advantages of such an approach includes flexibility, reduced costs (particularly in pay per use environments) and the ability to switch between suppliers as the need arises, to benefit from either better pricing or better service.

[edit] Scenario 2
Service Lifescyle Support Scenario - NEXOF-RA - BT - doc
Describes a facility that supports the entire life cycle of a service. This starts from defining a service concept and then goes right through to ultimate withdrawal and decommissioning. As services in the ecosystem envisaged by NESSI may have complex relationships with each other, which are not under the sole control of a single party, it is important that the Reference Architecture ensures that services are manageable throughout their whole life.

[edit] Scenario 3
Service Description and Discovery Scenario - SOA4All - UIBK - doc
Describes the discovery and invocation of commercial services between multiple providers and a single consumer based on service descriptions. The scenario calls for past sale and resale services, and enabled specialized micro-services thrive economically thanks to well-matched providers and consumers.
[edit] Scenario 4
Service Composition Scenario - SOA4All - BT - doc
The scenario involves building up Web Service composition to create a new web application using a [Web21c http://web21c.bt.com] service as a starting point. As the focus of S1 is on casual users building and non-critical applications, the scenario will involve minimal security or management infrastructure. Users will undertake a similar sequence of steps each time they design a new application - although the specific services may differ - while the actual composition is accomplished in terms of automatic service discovery through the SOA4ALL infrastructure.
[edit] Scenario 5
Manual Markup and Composition Scenario - SOA4All - BT - doc
This scenario will use SOA4ll technology to design and compose their more complex end user applications to resell or use as part of their business, incorporating BT white label web21c services, their own services & OSS and some BT OSS services. It will also enable people to create a business incorporating BT services, without complex face to face contract negotiations and manual work to integrate services. This will enable businesses to go from ‘idea to product’ in minimal time.
[edit] Example Scenarios from FI team at EC
Below 4 example scenarios structured along two dimensions, as asked for by the Future Internet team at the commission, namely:
i) Business oriented - how will organisations conduct business in an FI environment, vs ii) Citizen oriented - daily activities associated with living and working within an FI enabled society,
and
a) Incremental - with respect to today's available technology, vs b) Visionary - longer term and potentially disruptive.
